       Boric acid is actually boron oxide hydrate (B2O3·3H2O), white powder crystal or triclinic axial surface scale luster crystal, and skin contact with greasy feel, no smell. Soluble in water, alcohol, glycerin, ether and essential oil, no smell, taste slightly sour bitter with sweet. Dew, left unchanged in the air, can evaporate with steam. When heated to 100-105 ºC metaborate lose a molecule of water and formation; In 104-160 ºC heating duration time into focal boric acid, higher temperature of water is formed. Boric acid can be dissolved in 18ml cold water, 4ml boiling water, 18ml cold ethanol, 6ml boiling ethanol and 4ml glycerol at a PH of 5.1.1g in 0.1mol/L aqueous solution. The solubility in water increases with the addition of  citric acid and tartaric acid. Relative density: 1.4347, melting point 184 ºC (decomposition), the boiling point of 300 ºC.
